Sang Won Park, or David S. Park, is a classical pianist, piano and music theory teacher, and
music producer. He currently holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Piano
Performance from USC Thornton School of Music, where he studied under Dr. Stewart Gordon
and Ms. Bernadene Blaha. Before his time in the university, he has also studied under his
longtime teacher Dr. Andrew Park. He plans to pursue a doctorate degree in the same field very
soon.

He started studying the piano at five years old, and has given successful performances and
participated in many competitions. He has achieved many awards, those from 2022 IPPA
Conero International Piano Competition, the 2019 Montecito International Music Festival Piano
Competition, and the 2018 CAPMT Sonata-Sonatina Competition. He was even invited to give a
performance in Italy in 2022.

As a piano teacher with 7 years of experience, he worked with students of all levels. He has
consistently passed students in the Certificate of Merit examinations and has earned them many
competition awards such as the SYMF, the IAPMT Grand Concours, etc. My goal in teaching is
to make sure my students enjoy themselves while also staying engaged in the subject matter,
and I am dedicated to exploring my student’s interests.
